Women over 20 were the largest cohort of people (46%), with men over 20 making up 21% of PPS numbers issued. 33% of the PPS numbers issued were to people under 20, including children.

By 1st February, there were 12,622 Ukrainian arrivals enrolled in further education and training, 10,680 of whom were enrolled in English language courses.

The figures show 28,774 arrivals had attended employment support events, with over half reporting being previously employed.

Kenmare in Co. Cork was the Local Electoral Area with the most PPS numbers issued (1,982), while Athlone, Co. Roscommon, had the lowest (22).

The PPS numbers were issued under the Temporary Protection Directive. The directive was activated in March of last year with the purpose of providing protection to Ukrainians fleeing the Russian invasion of their home country.
