There is currently only one seal that needs to be displayed on your vehicle's windscreen, the civil liability insurance which, if it is not visible, can lead to a fine of 250 to 1250 euros.

The seal relating to the periodic inspection (MOT) is no longer mandatory to be visible. However, although this does not necessarily have to be on the windshield, it is necessary that you have in your possession the document that proves that your vehicle has been inspected.

In the document published in October 2020, the government explained that, for the first time, it was not going to regulate the characteristics related to the certificates proving the certification of the carrying out of the mandatory periodic inspections, given that the legal rule that established their obligation was revoked in 2012.

It should be remembered that the stamp referring to the Single Circulation Tax is also not mandatory.
