Monday - Day

A grey day today with lingering hill and coastal fog. Rain in Ulster and Connacht will clear later this morning, with patchy rain elsewhere. More rain will move in across the country from the west during the afternoon and evening, with occasional heavy falls. Mild with highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees, in a moderate to fresh southerly breeze.


Monday - Night

The north and east will have scattered showers, with some heavy. The rain will clear northwards overnight but the showers will continue countrywide and may develop into longer spells of rain at times in the south and east. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees with moderate to fresh south to southwest winds.


Tuesday - Day

Tomorrow will begin with scattered showers and with some sunny intervals. Rain will move into the west during the morning and will spread across the rest of the country, with some heavy falls in the south and west during the afternoon and evening. Becoming quite windy later in the day as moderate south to southwest winds increase fresh to strong and gusty. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.


Tuesday - Night

The night will start wet and windy, with widespread rain and fresh to strong and gusty south to southwest winds. The rain will clear eastwards overnight and will be followed by clear spells and scattered showers, mainly affecting the west of the country. Winds will ease in most places but it will stay breezy in the west. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees.


Wednesday - Day

Wednesday will be breezy and blustery with showers becoming widespread and sometimes heavy. Best of the sunny spells will be in the morning. Highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees with a moderate to fresh and gusty southwesterly wind, strong near the coast.


Wednesday - Night

Showers will become confined mainly to Atlantic coastal counties on Wednesday night, with long dry and clear spells elsewhere. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees in a moderate southwesterly breeze.


Thursday - Day

Many areas will be dry with sunny spells on Thursday morning, although there will be showers in Atlantic coastal counties. The showers will spread across the country during the afternoon and will turn heavy at times, but it will become drier again in the evening. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with moderate south to southwest winds, occasionally turning fresh and gusty.


Thursday - Night

Some showers in the north and west but otherwise dry with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees in a light south to southwest wind.


Friday

Similar weather to Thursday with sunny spells and isolated showers in the morning and evening but more widespread showers during the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees with a moderate southwesterly breeze.
