The German Constitutional Court has ruled that a law which was created with the aim of ending child marriages needs to be amended as it is not clear enough.

The law came into question after a case between a Syrian married couple (a girl aged 14 and man aged 21) was invalidated upon their arrival in 2015 as refugees.
