The Government approved an easing of the fiscal policy on rents, which translates into a tax rate of up to 5% for contracts of more than 20 years.

Fernando Medina, Minister of Finance, announced a tax relief on the rental market. According to the Minister of Finance, rents will no longer be taxed at a general rate of 28%, but at 25%.
Moreover, Fernando Medina announced that the taxation on rents will decrease "significantly" according to the duration of the lease contracts, and may be of only 5% for contracts in force for more than 20 years.
