Organized by AICEP–Agência para o Investimento e Comércio Externo de Portugal and by the Consulate General of Portugal in San Francisco, the program includes five restaurants with renowned Portuguese chefs: “Adega”, “La Salete”, “Petiscos”, “Tasca Tasca” and “Uma Casa”.

“With this we intend to promote Portuguese gastronomy and products in the Bay Area, supporting and giving greater visibility to Portuguese restaurants in this region and consequently to Portuguese food products”, said the director of the AICEP office in San Francisco, Teresa Fernandes, to Lusa.

One of the participants, “Adega”, is the only Portuguese restaurant with a Michelin star in the United States of America. Chef David Costa created a more compact menu for the initiative, which will give consumers the possibility to choose and combine several dishes at a more affordable price.

"It's a good initiative, it's good for promoting Portuguese restaurants and culture," chef Costa told Lusa. "It's interesting and creates the opportunity to bring people into restaurants."
