The project has the support of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and, according to a statement from the association based in Beja, will aim to “digitally empower companies” in the region.

“The added value [of this project] is to enable micro and small companies to computerize some service they have, […] through grants of up to 2,000 euros in non-refundable funds”, explained the president of ACSTDB, João Rosa, to Lusa agency.

According to the official, the initiative "is still in an initial phase", estimating that the process will be "operationalised between the third and fourth quarter of this year".

ACSTDB also explains that the consortium, which it coordinates, also includes business and commercial associations from the districts of Santarém, Portalegre, Évora and Setúbal.
