On Saturday 17 June the South African Rugby Legends will play an exhibition Rugby Match against a Portugal Barbarians Legends Team consisting of ex-Portugal Rugby Internationals and many legends from Portugal's first visit to the Rugby World Cup in 2007.

The South Africa Rugby Legends team will include players from South Africa´s three world cup winning teams in 1995, 2007 and 2019. The squad consists of 24 springboks, 5 springbok captains, 9 world cup winners, and 2 rugby centurions.

This is a great opportunity for the Portuguese public to come down and watch world cup champions play in Portugal and to get behind your local players. Also, to all those South Africans living in Portugal, what a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness and meet some of our great sportsmen in action.

Some of the great names involved in this event are John Smit, Schalk Brits, Percy Montgomery, Butch James, Pat Lambie, Joel Stransky, Gary Teichmann, Goncalo and Vasco Uva, Pedro Leal, Gonçalo Foro, João Correia, Toby Flood and Sam Tuitopu among others.

The match will take place at Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor at 15.00. Please get there early as there will be an opportunity to meet and greet the players from 13.00-14.00. Entrance for the game is free, but there will be food and drinks on sale throughout.
