Twelve districts on the mainland are today under a yellow warning due to the forecast of heavy showers, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).

The districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Vila Real, Bragança, Aveiro, Viseu, Guarda, Coimbra, Leiria, Santarém and Castelo Branco will be under a yellow warning until 15:00 today.
The minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 12 degrees Celsius (in Guarda) and 18 (in Faro and Aveiro) and the maximum between 18 (in Guarda) and 26 (in Évora and Beja).
