The One Young World Summit is being hosted in Northern Ireland to mark the Good Friday Agreement's 25th anniversary.

This evening, a welcoming ceremony will be conducted at the SSE Arena in Belfast's Titanic Quarter to welcome all participants.

Among the speakers will be Jordan's Queen Rania.

The non-profit organization's mission is to unite, mentor, and support young leaders from all over the world and to provide them with a global stage.

In addition to giving speeches, participating in seminars, and networking, delegates will receive advice from powerful political, corporate, and humanitarian figures.

Former Irish President Mary Robinson, former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, ex-football players Rio Ferdinand and Didier Drogba, and singer Bob Geldof are among the counsellors participating.

James Martin, the star of the short film An Irish Goodbye and recipient of an Oscar and a Bafta, will also impart his knowledge.

Education, climate change, food shortages, mental health, and peace and reconciliation are among the topics that will be covered throughout the discussion.

One Young World will award the Lyra McKee Award for Bravery, the first journalism prize ever, as part of the summit in memory of the reporter who was assassinated by the New IRA while covering riots in Derry in April 2019.

Ryan Murphy, the Lord Mayor of Belfast, has stated that the city is anticipating "bringing exceptional young leaders, activists, and business leaders from every corner of the world together to find solutions to the important issues facing our world today."
