Rising number of schools reporting Covid cases

The number of schools and education facilities in Portugal that have reported positive Covid-19 cases has risen to over 500.

According to figures compiled by teachers’ union Fenprof, of these, 34 schools are located in the Algarve.

The highest number of schools affected is in Faro, followed by Portimão and border town Vila Real de Santo António. Upon revealing these figures, the teachers’ union warned they would consider new avenues of action to express their displeasure at the government’s handling of the pandemic at schools.

What the hell do the Portuguese government expect to happen? The teachers have been programmed to spread it!!

Why not just close the schools? Most of the pupils will end up as waiters anyway.

Or simply poison every child in school with a vaccine cocktail? Then they can continue running around the sports field wearing a toxic mask knowing the government has listened to the experts at WHO. Basically saving this generation from a deadly virus which is now lurking everywhere so we're told.

Perhaps our creators will soon end our misery with a big asteroid smashing into the earth? Let's all manifest this ending before humanity eats itself.

As this is a "free" country I am writing my opinion, which clearly has struck a few cords.

I have lived in Portugal for 30 years, having moved from Ireland.

Wishing you all the best with your mask wearing as I assume the commenters are old. Take extra care not to come in contact with the young and strong. You have my sympathy.

@Bronson, this 'commenter' is young, just not psychopathic. Do wear your mask - it saves other people's lives and the economy (if human lives mean nothing to you).

I imagine that the numbers of school-bourne infections are even higher than reported. I witness a neighbourhood school being very very reckless every day (Escola Basica Fernanda de Castro). There, the children play/study outdoors in the public park all day long (outside of school premises, squatting among the trees, even in this weather) interacting with the community, and going to the bathroom outside. Their teachers also wear no masks.
There are a lot of Bronson's around.
