By doing so, you are contributing to the mission and work of The Salvation Army in the Algarve, plus doing some recycling, which obviously benefits the environment. Our second-hand clothes offer an affordable way of buying sustainably. It’s also a fact that we reduce carbon, waste and water footprints by 20-30%, by extending the life of a garment by 9 months (www.wrap.org.uk), and if that is not enough to convince you, in the end you will be supporting and investing in someone’s life, since all funds go back to support the families in need in the community.

With a fresh and new look, from books to clothing, small items and furniture, you will not be disappointed. If you have never visited a Salvation Army charity shop, we encourage you to do so; our volunteers will be ready and happy to welcome you.

One way The Salvation Army supports families in need - through the charity shop - is by attributing some vouchers to families in need, so that families, youth and seniors are able to choose and acquire the clothing, household items, etc according to their likes and needs. “Money is important to support the work, but never more important than the people we serve.” Cap. Luis Viriato

If you also would like to donate some items, we are able to come and collect them from you, in case you can’tcome to us, please send us an email and we will make the necessary arrangements.
