According to a source from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere, during the afternoon the weather will change, with the forecast showing a new front that will bring drizzle during the afternoon today and will cause minimum temperatures to increase and maximums not to drop so much during the night.

“We are going to leave the anticyclone system we are in now for a westerly flow regime, with the passage of fronts that bring rainfall and more humid air, which basically means that the temperature does not drop much during the night and rise less during the day, so you will have more stable values", IPMA told CNN Portugal.

The "wind increases little by little, throughout the day, and will be from the southwest, bringing more humid and temperate air (warmer) with the possibility of rain or drizzle, especially north of Cabo Raso, gradually increasing in intensity throughout the day".

The weather worsens towards the end of the day and the beginning of the night on Saturday, with precipitation "which can sometimes be heavy in Minho, Douro Litoral and in general in the North". This scenario will then "extend throughout the country and gradually lose intensity from north to south. The northern part of the country will be the most affected, especially on the coast".

In turn, the South will have less precipitation because it is "closer to the anticyclonic region of North Africa".

As for temperatures, according to the IPMA website, a rise in minimum temperatures is expected, as is the case in Lisbon, where next Monday the expected minimum is 12º (this Friday is 6. º) and the maximum 17 degrees, Porto, with a forecasted minimum of 13 degrees for Monday (this Friday is 6 degrees) and the maximum 17 degrees, Braga, with a forecasted minimum of 11 º for Monday (this Friday is 3º) and the maximum 17º, Guarda, expected minimum of 9º for Monday (this Friday is 1º) and a maximum 10º, and Faro, with a forecast low of 13º for Monday (this Friday is 8º) and a maximum of 20º.
