On Sunday, the IPMA had placed all districts on the mainland on yellow warning because of low temperatures, 10 of which until 06:00 on Tuesday and the remaining eight until 06:00 on Wednesday.

However, this morning, in a statement, the IPMA indicated that it had extended the yellow warning until 11:00 am on Thursday in the districts of Vila Real, Bragança, Guarda, and Castelo Branco.

In the districts of Viseu, Portalegre, Évora, and Beja, the yellow warning was extended until 06:00 on Thursday.

In Leiria, that notice will remain until 06:00 on Wednesday.

The IPMA maintained the yellow warning in the districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Aveiro, and Coimbra until 06:00 on Tuesday and in Lisbon, Santarém, Setúbal and Faro until 06:00 on Wednesday.

In the statement, the institute justifies this decision with the "persistence of low values of the minimum temperature".
