Recalling that “speed is the main enemy”, the security force stressed, through social networks, that “if you are going to drive, be careful and moderate your speed”.

"The ice may not be visible and makes it difficult to control the vehicle".

In addition, the PSP also recommend to "keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you and brake progressively".

This advice arose following a snowfall in Guarda, with the PSP in that region calling for, in those conditions, “to drive at reduced speed, to be extra careful and to be prudent”.

“The surface of the roads will change”, they said, adding that, in the event of a breakdown, you should remain with the warning lights on, wear the reflective vest, signal the vehicle with the pre-signal of danger and call 112.

“Respect the instructions of the authorities”.
