According to the bulletin reported by ECO, the price of petrol sold places Portugal in 13th position of the European Union (EU) countries with the highest prices.
Between July and September, the PMV of petrol 95 in the EU was 1,784 euros per litre, while in Portugal it was 1,827 euros per litre, in the same period. Without taxes, petrol cost 0.985 euros per litre in the EU and 1.028 euros per litre in Portugal, in the same period.
The lowest PMV for gasoline was in Hungary and the highest in Finland, with a difference of 0.90 cents per litre between the lowest and highest prices. Without taxes, ERSE points out the countries of Eastern Europe, Malta and France as those with the lowest prices in the European Union.
