32,000 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 so far in Portugal. Director-General for Health Graça Freitas said in a press conference that this does not mean the country can let its guard down as “not all people will be immunised” as the vaccine isn’t 100% effective and as yet there is no herd immunity. Addressing the situation in Portugal, Graça Freitas said there has been an apparent rise in cases which are occupying between 70% and 90% of hospitals’ admissions capacity.
