The source of the Sub-Regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection of Alentejo Central indicated that the alert for the accident was given at 11:22 am and that the two construction workers were injured following the fall of a structure.

According to the same source, the two injured were transported by firefighters to the emergency room at Hospital do Espírito Santo de Évora.

In an email response to questions posed by Lusa, the Alentejo Regional Health Administration (ARS), owner of the work, specified that the workers injured in the work accident are two men aged 34 and 40.

The two workers fell from "a scaffold that they were assembling, in an area outside the construction area", he added, noting that the injured were assisted on the spot and transported while "conscious" to the hospital.
