The Institute of Education, more colloquially known as “The Institute”, has been acquired by British company Dukes Education.

The acquisition was announced by the school today, with a statement saying the Institute and Dukes Education “both share a common vision, shared values and a strong culture of excellence”.
The school said things will be “business as usual”.
The Institute provides education to senior cycle students only, with over 7,000 pupils and 200 staff.
The fee for the acquisition was not disclosed.
