It is the lowest unemployment rate since 2001.
The figure represents a significant drop from April of 2022, when the unemployment rate was 4.7%.
Youth unemployment rate was down also, while the unemployment rate for those aged 25-74 was up slightly.
Female unemployment rate was calculated at 3.6%, down from 4.7% in April 2022. Meanwhile, male unemployment rate was 4.3%, down from 4.6% last year.
