The resort which was previously the Pestana Blue Alvor, was acquired by Azora European Hotel & Lodging last year. After a period of closure for refurbishment, the resort now opens with 491 rooms, 56 of which are in the Premium Family category with two independent rooms and four premium suites.

The resort includes five outdoor pools – one exclusively for adults, three for families and one for children – and an indoor pool; the “Pluma Júnior” kids club; four restaurants; two bars; gym and wellness centre with indoor pool, sauna and Turkish bath, according to a report by Publituris.

The Tivoli Alvor Algarve Resort, owned by Azora since 2022, is located 600 metres from the sea and close to the village of Alvor and the resort has a small train that takes guests to the beach or the centre of the village of Alvor.
