The value of Spotify subscriptions will go up. The service has announced an increase of two euros, from 11.99 to 13.99 euros.

The individual service costs 7.99 euros/month, the Duo subscription, which gives for two accounts, is set at 10.49 euros/month and the Student at 4.49 euros/month.

In the message sent to customers of the music, podcast and video streaming service, Spotify states that the subscription increase is intended to allow investment in innovation and improving the user experience.

Spotify's price hike (16.7%) is more than double the inflation of the last 12 months in June (7.8%).
