Revenue from this tax last year rose 6.1% compared to the previous year, which, in absolute terms, represented an additional 113.6 million euros that were collected. Even so, the rise fell short of the Government's forecast, which expected a rise of 9%, that is, around €161 million.

Last year, the main contribution to the improvement in stamp duty revenue was the charge on property acquisitions, which exceeded €367 million. In total there were over 53 million. The second biggest contribution to the increase in revenue was the contracting of insurance, with around €38 million more for a total of €484.7 million euros.
