On October 14th, that the annular solar eclipse will take place - the type of eclipse in which the Moon is completely aligned between the Earth and the Sun, forming what looks like a thin “ring of fire” around the Sun.

Unfortunately, this amazing phenomenon will not be able to be admired by anyone in Portugal.
This October's solar eclipse will only be visible to people in the Americas.
The best chance of seeing any of the eclipse in Portugal will be in the Azores, where the Moon will cover a very small part of the Sun between 18:21 and 19:05 (Azores time).
