In maximum danger are the municipalities of Marinha Grande (Leiria), Tomar, Ferreira do Zêzere, Vila Nova da Barquinha, Constância, Sardoal, Mação, Abrantes (Santarém), Vila de Rei, Proença-a-Nova, Vila Velha de Ródão ( Castelo Branco), Gavião, Nisa (Portalegre), Mangualde (Viseu) and Fornos de Algodres (Guarda).

The IPMA has also placed around 80 municipalities in the districts of Faro, Leiria, Santarém, Portalegre, Castelo Branco, Coimbra, Aveiro, Viseu, Guarda, Porto, Braga, Vila Real and Bragança at very high risk of rural fire.

According to IPMA calculations, the fire danger will remain high in some districts at least until Friday.

This risk, determined by IPMA, has five levels, ranging from low to maximum and calculations are obtained from air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and amount of precipitation in the last 24 hours.

The IPMA predicts cloudy or clear skies for today on the continent and a small drop in maximum temperature.

Minimum temperatures will range between 12 degrees Celsius (in Bragança) and 19 (in Castelo Branco and Lisbon) and maximum temperatures between 27 (in Guarda and Aveiro) and 36 (in Santarém).
