According to Reuters, Belgium wants to ban the use of the diabetes drug Ozempic as a weight loss treatment amid shortages of the medication for type 2 diabetes patients.

Health Minister Franck Vandenbroucke has said a ban would be a temporary measure and could last a few weeks or a few months, as is necessary depending on the production and availability of the drug.
