This themed tram was decorated by the pupils of the Bom Sucesso Basic School in Porto, as a way of strengthening the links between the Tram Museum, the local community and neighbours. The youngest children also contributed to this initiative by painting postcards that will be distributed to many of the passengers throughout the month.

According to Sapo, the surprises don't end there, and those travelling on the Christmas Tram will be able to enjoy fun moments promoted by the Tram Museum's Education Service.

Lines 1 and 18 of the historic trams run on the following timetables:

  • Line 1 (Infante-Passeio Alegre) starts at Infante at 9am. The last journey from Passeio Alegre takes place at 8h10pm and returns to Massarelos at 8h45pm;
  • Line 18 (Clérigos-Passeio Alegre) starts at Clérigos at 9.45am and makes its last journey of the day at 6.45pm.

The journey costs 3.50 euros for children and 5 euros for adults.
