During his childhood, Seals would attend weekly rehearsals of his grandfather’s Big Band in Crewe; This is where his love of Big Band, Swing, Jazz and Blues originates from. At age 10, he decided he wanted to play on the same stage as Jools Holland. Box ticked. He then ticked off another box on his boyhood wish-list when he made his debut in the main room at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London.

Tom first played in the Algarve back in 2017 at Atlantic Bar, Vilamoura - Karen & Rob see him on The Voice UK, tracked him down and flew him out to the bar for a special gig (it transpired that his mum was a regular to the bar but he had never been) then returning each year, they became friends and his love of Portugal began.

2020 Covid hit - his gigs all cancelled, gigs/work came to a standstill, but not for Tom, a successful lockdown series was created, which he performed from his mum’s back garden and was picked up by broadcaster Sky who commissioned an entire series “Tom Seals Presents”. The show saw Tom perform and converse with a range of A-list celebrities, sports stars and comedians performing their favourite songs with his own special twist.

Tom Seals Presents was an instant hit and elevated his already blossoming profile. Tom came back to Vilamoura in 2021 (as soon as restrictions were lifted) supporting the venue that employed him in his early years, he performed at the Atlantic Bar for the same fee as 2017! A true gent. Since then Tom has been back to Portugal, performing at Atlantic Bar live versions of his show, one with Russ Abbot.

Tom has been touring the UK with Noddy Holder and is coming back to Portugal for a very special New Years Eve "all inclusive" party - eat, drink and dance the night away into the early hours of 2024. If you want to Join Tom and his band don't delay - tickets are going fast and Tom is offering a special discount for The Portugal News readers.
