Half of the amount was raised through customer survey responses by SIXT clients. For each survey completed in 2023, SIXT donated 0.50€ to Acreditar. SIXT, a global leader in mobility services, and the DRYING LITTLE TEARS foundation, dedicated to supporting social causes in 110 countries, have joined forces to donate a total of 60,000€ to the Acreditar project. The donation is primarily intended to support the ongoing expansion works of Casa Acreditar in Lisbon.

Half of the donated amount was raised through customer satisfaction survey responses by SIXT clients throughout the year 2023. For each survey completed during this period, SIXT committed to donating 0.50€ to Acreditar (approximately 60,000 surveys resulted in a total donation of 30,000€). The remaining 30,000€ was contributed by DRYING LITTLE TEARS.

The expansion of Casa Acreditar in Lisbon will increase its capacity from 12 to 32 rooms, benefiting approximately 120 families annually. The construction, which had its groundbreaking ceremony on June 1, 2023, will also allow the accommodation of young adults up to 25 years old and provide support to families from the Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP).

Casa Acreditar serves as a haven for families of children with cancer who need to undergo treatment in referral hospitals such as those in Porto, Coimbra, or Lisbon. Without these houses, many families would face frequent travels, unnecessary hospitalizations, or accommodation in precarious conditions. In 2022, 171 families found support in Casa Acreditar.

With this support, SIXT reaffirms its commitment to solidarity and involvement in the communities where it operates. This initiative is therefore perfectly aligned with our social responsibility policy and the actions framed within it that we develop throughout the year. An example of this is the recent collaboration in assembling furniture at the new Casa Acreditar in Lisbon.
