Domestic flights will no longer be used to transport letters by Germany’s national postal carrier, Deutsche Bahn.

After 63 years, letters between northern and southern Germany, on the Stuttgart-Berlin, Hannover-Munich and Hannover-Stuttgart routes will be transported by road.
This new measure will allow the company to reduce transport-related carbon dioxide emissions on the routes by over 80 percent.
