Early this week, there were rumours that a bird had taken up residence in Dublin Airport, which sparked concerns.
Online videos and images purport to identify the bird as a starling.
Regarding the unusual situation, a Dublin Airport representative stated: "We take note of the apprehension regarding the bird that is presently residing in Terminal 1 at Dublin Airport.
Should we give the 🐦⬛ a name?

It's not an easy chore to assist a small (and extremely fast!) bird in leaving such a large and crowded facility. However, the airport crew is working on the situation and, after consulting with specialists in both wildlife and avian science, a plan is being implemented to ensure the bird flies off safely very soon.
"In the meantime, the public can be fully assured that the bird is getting plenty to eat and drink and is healthy."
Dublin Airport hinted that "there could be a prize in it" when it asked for help naming the bird on Twitter.
