According to the Portuguese Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (SPAIC) the forecast for the week between April 26th and May 2nd, points to “a considerable reduction in the concentration of pollen in the atmosphere of mainland Portugal will be observed, with a low to moderate risk expected for patients allergic to pollen”.

This reduction should occur thanks to the “atmospheric washing” effect, which is caused by precipitation, which is expected to occur in mainland Portugal throughout the week.

According to Pollen Bulletin No. 06, sent to the Lusa agency, all regions of the Mainland and the Islands should register “low to moderate pollen concentrations in the air”.
