In a statement, Uber, an individual and remunerated passenger transport company in vehicles not featured on an electronic platform, said it would offer 12,000 free trips, up to a value of 10 Euros each, to help healthcare professionals.

The following trips will have a 20 percent discount.

The note also mentions that Uber Eats will offer 5,000 meals up to 15 Euros for the National Health Service (SNS) team and 5,000 delivery fees.

Uber Eats will also make efforts so that "its partner restaurants donate meals or provide specific offers to healthcare professionals".

The platform also announced the offer of five thousand trips on JUMP bicycles, available to health professionals in four hospitals in Lisbon: Santa Maria, São José, Curry Cabral and Estefânia.

This offer guarantees two trips per day, up to 30 minutes each.

Free travel and meals can be requested by anyone with an email address from the NHS or a health service.

Uber also said that all health professionals in the NHS as well as Grupo Luz Saúde, Grupo Lusíadas Saúde and Santa Casa da Misericórdia do Porto have already been pre-approved and the offer will be available to all health professionals who want to join this initiative.
