“What I've been doing is receiving weekly investors who want to come to Portugal, and that's a good barometer. For example, at the moment, in the cryptocurrency financial sector, we have a huge demand for Lisbon", says Carlos Moedas to the newspaper.

The mayor reports that “a large cryptocurrency company said that it realised that 100 of its 500 workers live in Lisbon, but they did not even know about each other. After we had a meeting, they decided to come and settle in the capital”.

Carlos Moedas highlighted the need for the city to attract more investment and talent. For this, he says, it is necessary to reduce bureaucracy and project approval deadlines.
