Mariana Guterres, the daughter of the secretary-general of the United Nations, António Guterres, is reported to have fallen from a cliff on Beliche beach, in Vila do Bispo.
According to CNN Portugal, the alert was raised at 1:22 pm on Thursday (28 April).
Mariana Guterres, 36, had to receive help from rescue teams on site and was then transported to Portimão Hospital.
