In Portugal, the hurricane will become an extratropical storm, with winds reaching between 40 and 50 kilometres per hour, reports Público. Danielle is expected to affect areas to the northwest of the Portuguese maritime zone, causing sea waves. From Friday, 9 September, it will be possible to see changes in the sea swell with waves up to two meters, reaching four meters in height on 12 September.

Although the storm only reaches Portugal in its fullness from the 11 September, on the 10th there may be some precipitation, mainly in the Centre and North of the country, as reported by the Público newspaper.
