“This was a strike that could have been avoided if the company had the will to prevent this from happening, but easyJet seems to be committed to not returning to negotiations with strike notice, having already cancelled 69% of flights, that is, 350 flights that would depart from the bases in Porto, Lisbon and Faro for the strike days, to be carried out on the 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th of July 2023”, informed the National Union of Civil Aviation Flight Personnel (SNPVAC ).

The cabin crew are demanding that the crew of the Portuguese bases conditions be similar to those of the bases in other countries.

The airline, on the other hand, expressed disappointment with the new strike and accused the union of continuing with impractical demands, claiming increases "that do not demonstrate any sense of reality".
