When the next winter schedule begins, between October 29th and March 30th, 2024, British Airways (BA) will transfer all its flights between Porto and London to Gatwick Airport, instead of using Heathrow.

According to Publituris, these flights will also be operated by the company's low-cost unit, BA Euroflyer, created in 2022 to respond to competitors in this segment that fly to Gatwick and where TAP also flies from Porto. Luton and Stansted airports will continue to be connected to Porto by easyJet and Ryanair, respectively.

“From the perspective of passengers traveling between Porto and London or vice versa, this change is not very big – there are flights to three London airports, which may not be to everyone’s liking, but with a total of almost eight daily flights between the two cities, there is no lack of supply”, says Pedro Castro, director of SkyExpert, a consultancy company specialising in air transport, airports and tourism.
