A firefighter has been injured while fighting the flames in a fire that broke out in the early hours of Saturday in Pingo Doce supermarket in Loulé, district of Faro, Algarve region.

According to Notícias ao Minuto, a spokesman from the Faro District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) stated that the flames originated near a freezer.
The alert for the fire was given at 2:30 am.
The firefighter suffered minor injuries and was transported to the Basic Emergency Service (SUB's) in Loulé.
The CDOS also reported that part of the establishment's roof was affected, with the flames reported extinguished at 4:15 am.
