Loulé is the municipality in the Algarve with the largest number of inhabitants (72,373), followed by Faro (67,566) and finishing the podium is Portimão (59,896). Alcoutim is the municipality in the Algarve with the least population, with just 2,521 residents. Following Alcoutim is Monchique, with 5,465 inhabitants, and Vila do Bispo, with 5,722 residents.
