The performing arts festival promoted by ‘Quarta Parede’ will take place between the 4 April and the 19 June. The festival will consist of 11 shows, which will include indoor and outdoor shows and feature dance, music and theatre performances as well as crossovers between those artistic fields.

On 4 April, at the Teatro Municipal da Covilhã, singer-composer Ana Lua Caiano will begin the show with a sound that is "between traditional and electronic music." A call for submissions is available during the festival dates to choose two artists for the Y's upcoming edition. Last year’s winners, Margarida Monteny & Carminda Soares, will also perform “Simulacro”, on the 12 April at the Cine-Teatro Avenida de Castelo Branco, and Fábio Januário, on the 18 April will showcase his danceshow “Musseque” at Covilhã Municipal Theatre. The program will also include other performances spread throughout the days of the festival.

Sílvia Pinto Ferreira, co-director of the festival highlighted at a press conference that “There are 20 editions of an independent and decentralized festival”, a festival which has earned “national and international impact for its contributions to the circulation of works and artists of an emerging and experimental nature”. As she added “We really wanted to contemplate the diversity of performing arts, both in formats, in the way they approach audiences, and in themes”.

On the last day, 19 June at the Cine-Teatro Avenida de Castelo Branco, Festival Y will join two Spanish performers Cia Altraste Danza and "Nancy in Vietnam." Although the tickets’ price depends on the room, Sílvia Ferreira has mentioned that the budget is around €100.
