60 Teas to Revitalise and Restore- Margaret Roberts

Tea is one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world. It can be made from a tea plant or many herbs and spices. There are many fans of this beverage, especially the healing nature of tea infusions, which you can make at home.
I think Margaret says it best ‘Through the years I have found certain herbs to be remarkable in their ability to give effective, quick, and often astonishing relief of many a common ailment.

In this book Margaret goes into detail on how to make refreshing and healing infusions and the history of tea. She is extremely knowledgeable about herbs and this comes across while reading. The book itself is very pretty and the photos were taken by her daughter, Sandra.

Each photo is accompanied with an explanation of how the particular tea is good for you. The teas are presented in alphabetical order according to their principal ingredient. This book is a wonderful mix of recipes, history and herbology.

The author Margaret Roberts was a herbal pioneer from South Africa who passed away in 2017. Her books are still widely read and she has many fans all over the world. She wrote more than 30 books and received many awards for her amazing contribution to the field. She also lectured extensively on herbs for health and nutrition. This is one of her most popular books.

I bought this book as a gift for my mom and she also thought it was charming. I would recommend it if you are interested in health, wellness and love tea. I think this is a great book to gift to a loved one especially now to keep warm over winter.
