The IPMA has put under yellow warning today the districts of Braga, Vila Real, Bragança, Guarda, Leiria, Santarém and Setúbal until 11am on Sunday.
The yellow warning due to cold weather extends on Saturday to the districts of Viana do Castelo, Porto, Aveiro, Viseu, Coimbra, Castelo Branco, Portalegre and Evora, also until 11am on Sunday.
The IPMA has also issued a yellow warning for the district of Faro between 12pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday due to sea disturbance, forecasting waves of southeast with 2 to 2.5 meters.
The yellow warning is issued by IPMA whenever the weather situation represents risk for certain activities.
The IPMA forecasts for today on the continent little cloudy or clear sky, presenting itself generally very cloudy in some places in the north-east of Trás-os-Montes and Beira Alta, until late morning with the possibility of fog or mist formation.
Weak to moderate wind is also expected from the east quadrant, blowing moderate to strong in the highlands, especially the North and Centre, with gusts up to 70 kilometres per hour.
The forecast also points to the formation of frost, especially in the interior, a small increase in minimum temperatures on the west coast and a decrease in maximum temperatures, especially in the North and Centre regions.
The minimum temperatures will range between -3 degrees Celsius in Guarda and 8 in Aveiro and maximum between 5 in Guarda and 16 in Faro and Setúbal.
