The increase in frequency aims to "add more mobility options" to passengers and customers "in view of the growth in market demand", continued TAAG, in a statement.
As of Tuesday, TAAG will provide two flights a day, departing from Luanda at 12:40 pm (day departure) and 23:45 (night departure).
"Portugal is one of the preferred destinations and the gateway to Europe for many passengers, including tourists, families and businesses from Angola, Africa and South America. At the same time, Angola is positioned as an important hub for receiving and redirecting traffic coming from Portugal to the various TAAG destinations in the southern hemisphere", indicates the company.
According to the air carrier, "in 2023, and with reference to the full months of January and February, 39,306 passengers were transported on the Luanda - Lisbon - Luanda route".
